Title:
Adapting Traditional Games for Inclusion (Italy)
Context: A multicultural group of VoTs in a community center showed low confidence, language barriers, and discomfort with competitive activities.
Action: L’ORMA adapted traditional Italian and international games into cooperative formats (e.g., non-competitive volleyball circles, passing sequences with music). Choices regarding intensity, roles, and equipment were offered.
Outcome: Participants reported increased comfort, reduced anxiety, improved social connection, and greater engagement.
Transferability: Requires minimal space and equipment, easily replicable across countries and settings.
